Handy and durable compass!! I carry it with me every day by tying it into my hiking boot Paracord laces and tucking it in between the tongue and inner side of the boot. I am obsessed with the look of this compass!
Bought several products from this company and in general they have all been top notch quality and machining. The machining on this little compass, specifically around the key ring hole tapper and opening, leaves something to be desired. The Compass seems to function fine and the size is perfect for a keychain, but the wish it was executed a little better.
It's really cool looking and very durable. Good price too if you take a look and compare to similar small compasses. However... It does not seem to work.. when I hold it and spin in a circle, the compass itself stays in the same spot rather than rotating as it should. I can't get it to work. So... For a neat LOOKING little compass that's pretty much useless for ANYTHING but decoration. Not going through the headache of sending it back and waiting for a replacement.. Damn thing ain't worth all that trouble
The compasses are really cool as far as looks and durability. Price isn't bad either. However.... They do not seem to work properly. I purchased two, and neither of them work properly. If you hold it and turn in a circle.... It stays pointing at the same direction you started with and it should move when you rotate. No good.
Perfect for the key chain and accurate on directions. However, I wish I can say the same for the carabiner version. This key chain is perfect for EDC key chains.
I love the form factor of this little compass but it doesn't seem to work very well. When you hold it flat, it has a hard time rotating to indicate the true setting. I certainly wouldn't trust it. You have to jiggle it and tap it for it to rotate to the true setting. While doing this as a test, I knew where North was of course, so I knew when it finally aligned. In the wild, it would be hard to tell if it's indicating accurately or not.
