Love the compass! It goes wherever my bag goes. I was going to use it with my keys, but it looks so nice, I didn’t want it to get scratched from being in my pocket all the time.
Quality and build are great, what I’ve come to expect from Dango. I only have two issues. There’s a bubble in the compass. I’ve had several liquid filled compasses and never had a bubble before. After looking at the compass photos on Dango’s website they appear to have the same bubble so perhaps this is normal for this compass and the liquid used. Second, the compass shown in the website pictures has North facing up (12:00) mine has North at (5:00). Still useable it just bugs me.
Great compass but the north quadrant in the background isn’t aligned with north being up for user. Never had a quality compass that misapplied the background. Don’t know if this is a one off in the stock on line picture it is correct.
First Compass XL I received did not work correctly. Contacted customer service, they provided a return shipping label and mailed a new Compass XL, no questions asked. Awesome company and product!
It’s a very nice compass. I only gave it four stars because I don’t know how to read it and it wasn’t quite what I expected. It’s also difficult to see without my bifocals! I’m going to give it as a Christmas gift to my nephew. He’ll like it.
Really cool design - purchased for my 5 year old daughter who really wanted a compass for a trip to Peru. After a few days of very light travel, the glue glob holding the compass in the metal housing failed. We found it with the empty metal housing carabiner’ed to her bag without the compass and she cried. : (
Cool decoration, not a functional tool for adventuring. I was eyeing the watches and this makes me think twice.
